Sunday 5th June saw bog and rock hopping duo Lee Petch and Mark Garner turn their attention to the Edenfield Fell Race.
This 6.4 mile and 477 metre of ascent race starts with a long climb up to Cowpe Lowe, then a downhill section to the Pennine Bridleway and up again past Waugh’s Well. After the Well runners ascend yet again, to Whittle Pike cross. From there a tussocky descent takes competitors through a boggy section before a final calf-burning scramble, swiftly followed by a mile and a half steep downhill plummet to the finish on Edenfield Cricket Club pitch.
Both ‘Pot Noodle Club’ members were glad to see some flat ground at the cricket club with Mark clocking 1 hour 10 mins and Lee 1 hour 14 min
